Types of Careers

REGIONAL MANAGER
​The regional manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that will maximize and assist in all aspects of the administrative, financial, capital and operations of the MetroPlains Management portfolio in their assigned region. Below is an example of some tasks.

  • Prepare & Develop Budgets
  • Communicate, Set Property Goals & Direction
  • Responsible for Staff's Performance Concerning Compliance
  • Review Operating Reports 
  • Resident Relations
  • Review All Site Costs to Maintain Property and Meet Owner/Resident Expectations
  • Meet with Staff and Review Operations
  • Develop & Implement a Marketing Plan
  • Prepare & Monitor Reserve Requests
PROPERTY MANAGER
​The Community Manager I is fully accountable for all day-to-day property operations, overseeing and enhancing the value of the property. ​Below is an example of some tasks.

  • Market & Lease Available Apartments
  • Develop Marketing Plans
  • Understand Competitive Pricing/Market
  • Bid & Negotiate Service Contracts
  • Manage a Budget and Accomplish Financial Objectives
  • Maintain a High-Quality On-Site Team
  • Partner with Service Team to Maintain Condition of Property & Identify Potential Community Improvements
reGIONAL FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
​The Regional Facilities Maintenance employee will be responsible for performance of the day-day maintenance operations of the physical lead and grounds of the residential and commercial property(ies). These responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with the policies of MetroPlains under the direct supervision of the Area Manager. ​Below is an example of some tasks.

  • Ensure Work Completed Represents MetroPlain's Culture
  • Oversee & Occasionally Assist with Completion of Service Requests
  • Ensure Required Safety Equipment is Being Used Properly
  • Provide Training & Support for Other Maintenance Technicians
  • Provide Ongoing Input on Continued Property Improvements 
  • Ensure Attractive Internal & External Appearance of Buildings & Grounds. 
​MAINTENANCE
​The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performance of the day-day maintenance operations of the physical lead and grounds of the residential and commercial property(ies). These responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with the policies of MetroPlains Management. Below is an example of some tasks.

  • Ensure Work Completed Represents MetroPlain's Culture
  • Complete Assigned Service Requests
  • Participate in Ongoing Training to Build & Maintain Knowledge & Skills
  • Ensure Quality and Timely Completion of Repair Projects
  • Ensure Attractive Internal & External Appearance of Buildings & Grounds
  • Utilize Required Safety Equipment At All Times
CLEANING TECHNICIAN
​The Cleaning Technician is responsible for the performance of the day-to-day cleaning of the physical facilities and grounds of the development. These responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with the policies of MetroPlains the direct supervision of the Community manager or Area manager. The caretaker will be an employee of the management company; however, compensation will be an expense of the housing development.​ Below is an example of some tasks.

  • Maintain Building & Grounds in Good Clean Order
  • Walk Through Halls & Laundry Rooms Often to Pick Up Areas
  • Vacuum, Sweep & Mop Hallways & Laundry
  • Walk Grounds, Keep Grounds Free of Debris
  • Shovel Snow, Use Snowblower, Rake Leaves, Pull Weeds, Pick Up Litter As Needed
