The Jeremiah Program’s , Fargo Campus, Is Set to Open In January

The Jeremiah Program offers one of the nation’s most successful strategies for transforming families from poverty to prosperity two generations at a time. Jeremiah prepares determined single mothers to excel in the workforce, readies their children to succeed in school, and reduces generational dependence on public assistance.

Five core pillars, supported by personalized coaching, form our holistic, two-generation model.

More than 2,300 single mothers are living in poverty in the Fargo-Moorhead area, a number that has increased 16% over the last six years. The majority of these mothers have children under the age of 4. Their unsafe, unstable housing and a lack of affordable, quality childcare create barriers to pursuing a college education that leads to career-track jobs.

In January 2018 Jeremiah will open its Fargo-Moorhead campus to serve 20 low-income families who are determined to change their lives. In this supportive community, families will have safe and affordable housing, spaces for empowerment and life skills training, support to pursue a career-track college education, and on-site quality early childhood education.

The holistic support Jeremiah provides promotes a culture of accountability and success, while adding well-trained, critically needed workers to the local Fargo-Moorhead economy and ensuring that children are ready for kindergarten.

Jeremiah’s campus located at 3104 Fiechtner Drive South in Fargo will offer 20 affordable apartments, an on-site child development center, ample community space for empowerment and life skills classes, and spaces for residents and volunteers to gather, share a meal, study and socialize.
